Love of Nature - St. Hubert, Patron Saint of Hunters

Handcrafted from an antique wax seal stamp from late 1800’s England, this talisman features a stag with a cross between its antlers. One Christmas Eve, while seeking comfort on his lonely hunt after the death of his beloved wife Princess Floribana, Hubertus encounters the wondrous image of a splendid red albino stag carrying a shining cross between its antlers.

Through this vision, Hubert is moved to transform his life. He lays down his high ranks of office and distributes his wealth among the poor and the church.

St. Hubertus has been the patron saint of hunters and animal protectionists in northern Europe who honor him by being responsible for the care of animals on their lands, both domestic and wild. November 3rd has been set as the official St. Hubert feast day.

This fine silver talisman is approximately 3/4" round and hangs on a 18" stainless steel baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp as shown in the second image. Other types of chains are sold separately.
