Handcrafted from an antique intaglio made in Europe during the late 1700's to early 1800's, this wax seal charm features Cupid, the god of desire, erotic love, attraction and affection.
Cupid's bow and arrow represent his source of power. Cupid carries two kinds of arrows, one with a sharp golden point, and the other with a blunt tip of lead. A person wounded by the golden arrow is filled with uncontrollable desire, but the one struck by the lead feels aversion and desires only to flee.
This fine silver charm is around 5/8”x 3/4” oval and hangs on 18" stainless steel baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp. Other types of chains are sold separately.
Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
