"We Live and Die for Those We Love” Wax Seal

Handcrafted from an antique wax seal stamp from early 1800 England, this wax seal charm features, the mother pelican plucking at her own breast in order to draw blood to nurture her young - a symbol of ultimate motherly love and self-sacrifice. This is also a symbol of the Eucharist - Jesus shed his blood for us. Many family crests, churches and cathedrals across the Christian world display such an image.

This charm is approximately a 1/2” x 5/8” oval and is available in fine silver and in bronze. An 18" stainless steel baby ball chain or a 18" bronze baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp is included. Other types of chains are sold separately.

Handcrafted in my studio just outside of Houston, Texas, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
