Handcrafted from an antique intaglio made in Europe during the late 1700's to early 1800's, this wax seal charm features Cupid, the symbol of love, with his bow harnessed around two female lions necks and a pitchfork, the symbol of hell, over his shoulder. As he is being led away by the lions, he is looking back in frustration, symbolizing “to hell with love.”
This bronze charm is substantial at approximately a 3/4” x1” oval and hangs from a 14k gold-filled short-long cable chain with a lobster clasp closure. The entire necklace measures 17” long.
Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
