Valentines Day

Hope and Love- Medieval Anchor and Heart

Handcrafted from medieval wax seal dating to the 12th or 13th century, this talisman features an anchor with a heart in the middle which symbolizes hope and love.

As the anchor was often a seaman’s last resort in stormy weather, it was frequently connected with hope. The anchor remains firm and steady amidst the stormy waters, symbolizing the stable part of a being, that quality which enables us to keep a clear mind amid the confusion of the general “storms” of life.

The heart is a universal symbol for love.

This fine silver talisman is just over 1/2" round and hangs from an 18" stainless steel baby ball chain  that closes with a ball chain connector clasp. Other types of chains are sold separately.

Each piece of jewelry from The Silver Acorn comes packaged in a tasteful gift box with a meaning card ready for gift-giving.

Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
