Touch of Gold

Rebirth - Gold & Silver Phoenix Necklace

Handcrafted from an antique wax seal dating from early 1800 England, this talisman features a phoenix charm symbol of power, strength, renewal and rebirth.

According to the Greek historian, Herodotus, the phoenix was a mythical bird from Ethiopia. It was spectacularly large, beautiful and adorned with mind-blowing plumage. The phoenix made a nest of cypress branches, but rather than preparing to lay eggs, the phoenix was preparing to die. While sitting in the nest, the bird created a great deal of heat, and set itself on fire. After three days, the phoenix emerged from its own ashes - reborn and released from the sentence of death, able to live on forever.

The fine silver talisman is approximately 1¼” round with 22k gold accents and hangs from a 14k gold-filled medium hammered cable chain with a lobster clasp closure. The entire necklace measures 18” long with a 2” extender chain for those who like necklaces up to 20 inches long.

Each piece of jewelry from The Silver Acorn comes packaged in a tasteful gift box with a meaning card ready for gift-giving.

Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
