Faith Leaning on Hope

Handcrafted from an antique wax seal from late 1800 England, this talisman features a female figure, which in heraldry represents faith, leaning on an anchor which symbolizes hope.

As the anchor was often a seaman’s last resort in stormy weather, it was frequently connected with hope. The anchor remains firm and steady amidst the stormy waters, symbolizing the stable part of a human being, that quality which enables us to keep a clear mind amid the confusion of the general “storms” of life.

This fine silver talisman is just over a 3/4” x 5/8” oval and hangs on a 18" bronze baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp. Other types of chains are sold separately.

Each piece of jewelry from The Silver Acorn comes packaged in a tasteful gift box with a meaning card ready for gift-giving.

Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
