Wisdom, Valor & Faith - Crown & Fleur-De-Lis Necklace

Handcrafted from an antique military button dating from early 1800 England recovered from a dig in Norfolk, England and a vintage wax seal stamp from France, this necklace features a crown talisman symbolizing success and a fleur-de-lis talisman which symbolizes wisdom, valor, and faith. The fleur-de-lis carries much symbolism including political and religious symbolism, especially in French heraldry.

The symbolism of wisdom, valor, and faith comes from the three petals representing the medieval social classes: those who worked, those who fought, and those who prayed.

The religious symbolism of the fleur-de-lis is that the three petals represent the Holy Trinity – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The crown talisman is just over 1” round and the fleur-de-lis talisman is around 1/2" round and they hang from either a 14k gold-filled short-long cable chain when done in bronze or a sterling silver short-long cable chain when done in fine silver with a lobster clasp closure. The entire necklace measures 18” long.

Each piece of jewelry from The Silver Acorn comes packaged in a tasteful gift box with a meaning card ready for gift-giving.

Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
