Handcrafted from an antique wax seal on a vellum document dated 1719 England in which a father is indenturing his “spinster daughter” who is 18 years old to an old man. This wax seal charm features a heart pierced with an arrow topped with a crown. The crown symbolizes leadership and success. The heart pierced with one arrow is a symbol for someone struck by love beyond their control.
I thought it so ironic that the family seal was so opposite of what the daughter must have been feeling.
This charm is around 3/4" round and is available in fine silver and in bronze. An 18" stainless steel baby ball chain or a 18" bronze baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp is included. Other types of chains are sold separately.
Handcrafted in my studio just outside of Houston, Texas, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
