Seal of Solomon Wax Seal

Handcrafted from a Moroccan 4 falus coin, dated AH 1290 (AD 1873), this wax seal depicts the Seal of Solomon. According to the Hebrew Bible, the Seal of Solomon was the signet ring given to King Solomon, the son of David and king of Israel, by God. This ring gave Solomon the power to command demons, genies (or jinni), or to speak with animals.

The hexagram or "Star of David", which became a symbol of Judaism in the modern period and was placed on the flag of Israel in 1948, has its origins in 14th-century depictions of the Seal of Solomon.

This bronze charm is approximately 7/8” round and hangs on a 18" bronze baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp. Other types of chains are sold separately.

Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
