Handcrafted from an antique wax seal from England, this wax seal charm features Pan, who in Greek religion and mythology, is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature, of mountain wilds, hunting and rustic music, as well as the companion of the nymphs.
He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr. With his homeland in rustic Arcadia, he is recognized as the god of fields, groves, and wooded glens; because of this, Pan is symbolic of fertility and the season of spring.
This bronze charm is around 3/4” round and hangs on a 18" bronze baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp. Other types of chains are sold separately.
Handcrafted in my studio just outside of Houston, Texas, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
