Deep Sorrow - Weeping Willow

Handcrafted from a mourning wax seal stamp I hand cast after my husband's grandfather passed away, this talisman features the willow tree which for centuries has been used as the symbol for grief, sadness and sorrow. Today, you will find carvings of the tree on many gravestones. In addition, Claude Monet painted a series of weeping willow tree scenes to honor the fallen French soldiers of World War I, a war in which his own son fought.

The talisman is approximately 5/8” round and is available in fine silver and hangs from an 18" stainless steel baby ball chain that closes with a ball chain connector clasp. Other types of chains are sold separately.

Each piece of jewelry from The Silver Acorn comes packaged in a tasteful gift box with a meaning card ready for gift-giving.

Handcrafted in my studio in Spokane, Washington, each symbolic wax seal item from The Silver Acorn is hand-stamped in reclaimed fine silver or bronze and will be slightly different and uniquely yours.
